Hi there! I'm Alejandro Rubio, a 24-year-old
Software Engineer based in
Austin, Texas. With a
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the
University of Central Florida,
I've built a solid foundation in software development, which I've further refined through hands-on experience at
General Motors and
Motorola Solutions.
At General Motors, I played a key role in the
Galileo project, where I developed and optimized the
UI and API for the
Load Balancer Automation web application. My work led to significant
improvements in efficiency and cost savings, including automating processes that saved the company an estimated
$7.2 million annually.
My experience spans a range of technologies
including AngularJS, Docker, and
Kubernetes, enabling me to tackle complex problems and deliver robust,
user-friendly solutions.
Beyond coding, I'm passionate about activities that challenge my problem-solving skills and keep me grounded.
Whether it's practicing Muay Thai,
bouldering, or hiking, I thrive in environments that require quick thinking and adaptability—qualities that I
bring to my professional work as well.
My Colombian and Argentine roots have also given me a unique perspective
on creativity and collaboration, which I apply to every project I undertake.
I'm eager to bring my technical expertise,
creativity, and diverse background
to my next place of work!
